I wasn't exactly overwhelmed with real estate activities in December so found time to have fun enjoying some of the wonderful holiday activities in our area. During this time I did list a condo to sell and completed a lease transaction, showed property, etc. etc.
Downtown Yorba Linda had an old fashion Christmas and brought in real snow for the kids and perhaps a full adult kids to play it. The carolers, toy train ride, Santa plus much more made you feel like Christmas was coming. I also went to Disneyland twice--once to see the decorations in the day and then back another night to see the lights, fireworks and Small World. There were lots of people, but worth the hassle.
For the first time I went to Mission Inn in Riverside to see their spectacular lights. I didn't know they had a Gingerbread House selling gingerbread cookies and enjoyed that. I was taking pictures every time I turned around. A block away they had an outdoor ice skating rink on the plaza. Another Christmas feel-good adventure.
I'd almost forgotten about the Christmas Market at Knott's Berry Farm. My 3 1/2 year old granddaughter has been afraid of Santas but this one got her attention and we were amazed that she really went to talk to him. That was an accomplishment.
Another fun adventure was riding on a boat observing the Christmas lights and decorations at Eastlake in Yorba Linda. What a treat! I think I've done it all this year so don't know what new will be in store next. It was a wonderful season and many churches, including ours at Eastside in Fullerton, had pageants and programs that talked about the real meaning of Christmas.
We are so fortunate we live where we do. I can't think of a better place to live and buy a home than our own North Orange County. We have it all--mountains, beaches, parks, community activities for everyone and real estate prices that are so affordable. I'm ready to meet the new challenges and help people move into one of our beautiful cities.
